Assam: Mosquito borne disease outbreak aggravated by floods kills 44 so far

A total of 274 cases of Japanese Encephalitis have been detected in the state in the last 26 days. Data reveals that eight new cases have also been detected in the last 24 hours.

Mosquito-borne disease Japanese Encephalitis has claimed 44 lives across Assam so far, according to the state branch of the National Health Mission (NHM).
